Steve O's Scoreboard: Week 7

A first perfect week for me? Yes, and it was only my second week of predictions! I'd like to thank my parents and the ESPN stats that I used to help make my selections. I love you Big Ten football.

Wisconsin 38, Illinois 28
Prediction: Wisconsin 38, Illinois 24
Damn was I close to predicting the score right. Turned out just as I thought. A slow start by the Badgers but they would overcome. Gordon had 4 TD's on the ground and is my pick along with Tevin Coleman of Indiana as my pick for Big Ten Heisman. They did just that. 1-0 on the week.

Iowa 45, Indiana 29
Prediction: Iowa 41, Indiana 27
Kinda scary or what? Almost two exact scores predicted. Just as I said, a weak Indiana defense would give up points to a strong Iowa offense. Iowa however, gave up huge sums to Tevin Coleman and should be worried about their rush defense. Coleman is scary and will be a guy to watch all year. Make me 2-0.

Minnesota 24, Northwestern 17
Prediction: Minnesota 24, Northwestern 20
Hire me now ESPN! The team with the least mistakes will take this one. Minnesota won on a Northwestern kick return mis-coverage. Minnesota controls their own destiny now. Gopher's can win the west. I'm 3-0.

Michigan State 45, Purdue 31
Prediction: Michigan State 42, Purdue 17
Okay so I wasn't so close this time. Purdue was surprising against the MSU defense late which is something MSU should worry about. Purdue should get their points against teams that aren't too strong on defense. MSU's offense should carry them and if their D can play a whole game, they'll beat anybody. 4-0.

Michigan 18, Penn State 13
Prediction: Michigan 28, Penn State 27
Said Michigan would edge it out and they did. We learned Michigan's offense still is nonexistent and Penn State is still horrible. Not much to analyze here. 5-0.

Week 7 Record: 5-0
Overall Record: 9-2
